Ricoh SC670 Error Code
The print engine and controller did not complete their normal startup handshake. The machine cannot safely begin jobs.
Controller
What This Means in Plain Terms
The print engine and controller did not complete their normal startup handshake. The machine cannot safely begin jobs.
A short power interruption, firmware hiccup, or controller-side fault can cause this. One full power cycle is the safe first step.
Safe things you can try
- Turn the machine completely off and wait until all lights and the screen are dark.
- Wait at least 60 seconds, then turn it on and allow a full start-up.
- If an external controller is attached, reboot that with the machine.
Do not do these
- Do not interrupt start-up repeatedly.
- Do not enter service mode to force engine communication.
Never enter service mode or clear safety codes yourself. Those steps can damage the machine or leave a safety lock uncleared.
When to call for service
If SC670 returns during or shortly after start-up, the engine or controller needs service.
